A Laboratory for research and production of educational material concerning biological imaging (especially Celular Biology, Histology andEmbriology). We analyse and process research images and produce educational material, such as 3D animated models and interactive multimidia programs. Our main methodologies are digital imaging and optical microscopy, but we also use photography, video and other techniques.

One of the Lab`s projects is the creation of a Digital Image Bank (open to the public) and another is the promotion of students` use of the interactive video-disc Slice of Life . We are planning to use more powerful platforms and to distribute these materials on CD-ROMs.

Some examples of our work are available for download, but please keep in mind that those are non-comercial demonstration materials, and should not be distributed or commercialized. The trademarks and copyrights are properties of their owners.
