All images in this repository are original and most of them we did ourselves. You can use and copy all of them.

Appendix

In case your Browser is not able to access the images, use FTP anonimous (USER: ANONYMOUS, PASSWORD: your eletronic adress here) to the address 146.164.105.2 (server of the Departamento de Histologia of the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro).

Every image has an identification file, with informations about methodology, authorship, etc. The LISTA.TXT is an index of all images in ASCII file format, while the BANCOIMG.LDB e BANCOIMG.MDA files are in Microsoft Access file format.

While we are developing an ON-LINE system for registration of users, we ask the Bank users to register themselves sending a file with:

Contributions to the Bank are welcome, as long as they are small (up to 640x480 pixels, 256 colours) and include the entire identification and the users' agreement to open the images to public access. Contributions may be refused, in case of lack of space. Send your images to MLCOSTA@CHAGAS.BIOF.UFRJ.BR.
